We are excited to announce that distribution of commencement tickets and regalia will take place in Olin Hall Lobby – 445 East 69th Street (Education Events Office – 1st Floor) on the following days:

**If you cannot be present during your assigned time please fill out the alternative pick up form here by Friday, April 26th - 5pm. In the case that you are also unable to attend any of the alternative times, students can select a pickup designee on the form.
Graduating Student To-Do List
Please note that all Graduating Students must review and complete Steps 1-4 by Friday, March 15, 2019, 5PM (EST).

Step 2: Reserve Commencement Guest Tickets
Graduating students, who are being recognized on the platform, can reserve up to 6 guest tickets. Tickets can be reserved here.
Step 3: Order Regalia - Students who compete this step will be sent regalia pick up information in early April. All ordered regalia is picked up in the Olin Lobby area.

Step 4 : Financial Aid
Students who have borrowed federal loan funds must complete Exit Counseling online at https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/index.action. If you would like to make an appointment for loan counseling, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 646-962-3479 or email@example.com.

Please note: Attendees must identify themselves as part of the Weill Cornell Medicine Room Block group to guarantee the special group rate. Rooms at the rates reflected are limited.
Day of Commencement
Timeline for Commencement Day:
10:15 am: All students arrive to Carnegie Hall
11:30 am: Doors open for Special Needs and Handicap seating
11:40 am: Doors open for General seating
12:00 pm: Commencement Ceremony starts
2:00 pm: Ceremony concludes
2:30-4:30 pm: Commencement Reception
You should plan to arrive at Carnegie Hall no later than 10:15 am. Please allow yourself ample time to travel to Carnegie Hall as it is in a congested area. Students should enter via the Stage Door, 161 West 56th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenue. If you are not on the procession line by 11:30 am, you will not be allowed to march. There will be no place in the Orchestra Room to leave personal items. Please leave your jackets/sweaters, purses, flowers, cameras - any other personal items with your guests.
You will be allowed to take pictures after the ceremony, but you must return the cap, gown, and hood inside Carnegie Hall. After the ceremony ends, you will have 30 minutes to take pictures with your guests and return all academic regalia in the classroom where you lined up. Once you receive a ticket, you will be able to receive your diploma at the Hilton where the reception will be held. If you do not return your regalia, you will not receive your diploma.

Diplomas for August and January graduates of the Graduate School have already been distributed; if you did not receive your diploma, please contact the Office of the Registrar. Diplomas for May - Doctor of Medicine graduates will be distributed at the Hilton reception that follows commencement. Diplomas for May Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science graduates will be shipped directly to students within 4 weeks of the commencement ceremony. All graduates will receive empty envelopes on stage at Carnegie Hall.
Family and guests are welcome to the reception. Tickets are not needed for the reception. Finger food, cookies, and soft drinks will be provided at the reception. New York Hilton- 1335 Avenue of Americas.
As a graduate, how many invitations and tickets will I receive?
Each student can reserve up to 6 guest tickets. Tickets can be reserved here.
Can students request for extra guest tickets?
Yes, graduating students can request for extra guest tickets here. Please note, guest tickets are limited and are not guaranteed. Students will be notified two weeks before Commencement if their extra ticket request has been granted.
How long is the ceremony?
The length of the ceremony can vary, but it is generally about two and a half (2.0) hours in length.
When will I get my diploma?
As diplomas are not distributed during Commencement, they may be picked up at the Commencement Reception at the Hilton New York. For additional information, please reach out to the Registrar Office.

Is there reserved seating?
There is no reserved seating.
Are there any other events happening in addition to the Commencement ceremony?
Yes, the Commencement Reception will be held after Commencement at The New York Hilton at 1335 Avenue of Americas starting at 2:30 pm.
Does my child need a ticket?
Yes, children can attend the ceremony and require a ticket, regardless of age.
If I am graduating and participation in the ceremony, do I have to wear a cap and gown?
Yes, all participating students and faculty must be robed. Students please see Step 3 in the Graduating To-Do List for cap and gown order intructions.
As a graduate, do I go up on stage during the ceremony?
Yes, each candidate will go up on stage after their name is announced to meet with the President and Dean.
If I am graduating and participating in the ceremony, will I need a ticket?
No. You will enter at the Stage Door Entrance (161 West 56th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenue). Security personnel will have a list of names at the stage door and will ask you to identify yourself.
Where does faculty pick up their regalia?
You will be picking up your regalia at Carnegie Hall the morning of Commencement in The Citigroup Café.
