Medical Student To-Do List

Regalia and Attire 
You should have received your regalia by now or will very soon barring any shipping delays, along with several gift items from Weill Cornell. We encourage all students to wear their regalia during the ceremony on Thursday, May 20th. For anyone who does not receive their regalia in advance of commencement, please plan to wear business casual attire for the ceremony. For questions regarding regalia please submit your inquires here. 

Convocation
Recipients of awards historically presented at convocation will be featured on a forthcoming website.

Feel free to share the link below with your family and friends so they can post their well wishes on the MD Class of 2021 Kudoboarda commemorative platform and virtual bulletin board where family, friends, fellow students and alumni can share their messages of congratulations with you in the form of text, photos, or videos.

Graduation Portraits
A professional photographer will be on campus Tuesday, May 18 (morning) or Wednesday, May 19 (afternoon) to take scheduled graduation portraits exclusively for members of the Class of 2021 with one of the senior Medical College deans. Photos will be complimentary and available for download via a password-protected online gallery. The gallery link and password will be shared by email following commencement.

To schedule an appointment please reference the email sent on May 11 or contact eaevents@med.cornell.edu. We ask that you complete your booking by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14; walk-ins will not be permitted.

FAQs

Financial Aid

Students who have borrowed federal loan funds must complete Exit Counseling online at https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/index.action. If you would like to make an appointment for loan counseling, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 646-962-3479 or finaid@med.cornell.edu.

Regalia 

If you have any issues or questions regarding your regalia please submit your inquiry here.

Regalia Returns: Each student will receive a prepaid FedEx shipping label. They can use any box to package the regalia and place the shipping label on it. They will need to return it to a FedEx drop off location. 

When will I get my diploma?

Diplomas will be mailed to students following the graduation celebrations. Please provide the best mailing address for your diploma to be sent to on the “Intent to Graduate” Survey that the Registrar’s Office provides.
