- Graduate students enrolled in a degree seeking program are eligible for federal student aid through the Department of Education.
- Federal student loans are the primary source of funding for Graduate degrees.
- Financial aid is awarded on an annual basis and students are required to complete the financial aid application process every year.
- Students must also meet Weill Cornell Medicine Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Standards.
- Institutional scholarship funding is not available through the office of Financial Aid. Students may check with their graduate department for any scholarship opportunities.
- Federal financial aid is not available for certificate programs or to international students.
Application
To determine aid eligibility and qualify for federal loans, students are required to complete the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA).

Application Deadlines
New graduate students recommended application deadline is March 1st of each year.
Returning graduate students recommended application deadline is July 15th of each year.
Financial Aid Offer Letters
Financial aid offer letters are emailed to students on a rolling basis after submission of all financial aid applications and required documents. Students are advised to complete the application process as early as possible to avoid processing delays. Student can review, accept, adjust, or decline Financial Aid Award Offer via LEARN→ NetPartner (student financial aid portal).
New MS Graduate Students Financial Aid Process
Step 1: SSN or Tax ID Requirement
Log into LEARN→Financial Aid Billing→New Student Onboarding Form: complete and submit U.S. Social Security Number or Tax ID Number Information form.
Step 2: FAFSA Application
Complete the FAFSA application. Include Weill Cornell Medicine school code is G04762
Step 3: LEARN→NetPartner (Student Financial Aid Portal)
Review your financial requirements if any (under Menu→ Documents)
OR review, accept, or decline your Financial Aid Award Offers (under Menu→ Accept Awards, submit decision)
Step 4: Complete Federal Loan Requirements (if utilizing federal loans)
Use your student FSA ID and password to complete electronically via Federal Student Aid website.
Make sure to select JOAN AND SANDFORD WEILL MED COLLEGE.
Step 5: Graduate PLUS Loan Application
If you need additional loan funding (after exhausting Unsubsidized Loan), and if you are interested in the Graduate PLUS Loan, complete the credit-check application online.
Electronic application are received within 24 to 48 hours after submission. Financial aid office will update your account with the loan approval.

Continuing MS Graduate Students Financial Aid Process
