Cost of Attendance

The Office of Financial Aid is responsible for compiling the student Cost of Attendance each year for the programs served by our office. The Cost of Attendance also known as student’s budget includes both Direct and Indirect expenses. Direct expenses are charges that a student will incur in term billing statement. Indirect expenses are costs that a student will incur while enrolled at Weill Cornell Medicine but will not be in term billing statement.

Direct Expenses: Tution, Fees, Health Insurance (if enrolled), Housing (on-campus)
Indirect Expenses: Food and Housing, Personal Expenses, Transportation, Books, Course Materials, Supplies, & Equipment

The cost of attendance or budget represents the maximum amount of financial aid funding that a student can receive. The cost of attendance does not represent the amount you will owe to the institution- this will be communicated to you every term by the Student Accounting office when the term bills are issued.
