Our soloist, Dr. Richard Kogan, is Artistic Director of the Initiative, a renowned concert pianist, and an attending psychiatrist at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. He specializes in giving musical performances under girded by concepts in psychiatry.
Invited are students, faculty and staff from Weill Cornell Medical College, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Rockefeller University, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Hospital for Special Surgery and The Julliard School, as well as medical colleagues from neighboring institutions and friends of the Music and Medicine Initiative. The Music and Medicine Initiative allows medical students, bio medical graduate students, bio medical graduate students, and other healthcare professionals in New York City to partake in high level music making while still focusing on their busy lives in medicine.
