About Applying: MD Program

Prospective MD Students:

Recommended Deadline for Financial Aid Applications is March 11, 2024

Financial aid is awarded on an annual basis. Each renewing academic year, students are required to complete the financial aid application process. Application instructions are provided electronically to admitted students at the time of their acceptance notification. The Office of Financial Aid will only send Offer Letters to accepted students. First round acceptance decisions are sent by the Office of Admissions on or before March 15, 2024. Waitlisted candidates are encouraged to fill out the FAFSA and CSS Profile in advance in order to expedite the process once admitted. Although we encourage you to fill out the FAFSA and CSS Profile electronic applications, we ask that you not submit any additional forms until you are admitted and those documents are requested by the Office of Financial Aid.

Student applicants have the option of applying for either:

  • Need-based aid, which considers the applicant for need-based institutional grants

-OR-

  • Federal Loans only (e.g. Direct Unsubsidized & Graduate PLUS loans).

A complete list of required application forms for each option is listed under the corresponding Forms and Resources page. Note: The incoming class (for Fall 2024) must complete application forms for the 2024-25 academic year.

Receiving an Award/Offer Letter

For admitted students, financial aid awarding can be completed following the submission of all financial aid application materials by March 11, 2024.  Offer letters are emailed to students on a rolling basis, beginning in early April. Each award recipient is required to review and accept the aid offered by submitting a signed Offer Letter to the Office of Financial Aid. Waitlisted candidates are encouraged to submit the FAFSA and CSS Profile in advance, but should not submit any additional forms until they have received a formal acceptance from Admissions with further instructions.

The Office of Financial Aid may notify students of any additional processing requirements prior to the start of the academic year.  Such requirements include:
  • Loan Promissory Notes
  • Loan Entrance Counseling
  • Citizenship verification
  • Credit Check Authorization forms for Graduate PLUS Loan requests
  • Sibling School Enrollment Verifications
