STUDENT COST OF ATTENDANCE
The cost of attendance reflects the medical student’s average cost of attending Weill Cornell Medicine. It should represent a modest, but adequate, standard of living. The standard budget includes the average cost of rent for on-campus housing. The budget assumes that single students are living in Olin Hall in the first year and shared Medical College apartments thereafter. The student budget includes both direct and indirect costs associated with enrollment in the Medical College.
Direct costs consist of the following types of expenses:
- Mandatory fees
- Weill Cornell Medicine student health insurance & other voluntary insurance (e.g. Dental & Vision)
- On-campus rent
Indirect costs consist of the following types of expenses:
- Books & Equipment
- Food & Personal
- Step 1 Exam
- Step 2 CK & CS Exams
- Off-campus rent
