Health Insurance Waivers

Weill Cornell Medicine requires all registered and degree-seeking students to carry comprehensive health care coverage while attending the College. If you have health insurance which you believe is comparable to Weill Cornell's plan based on the criteria outlined on the preceding page, you may waive participation in the Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan.

Students are automatically charged for, and enrolled in, the Student Health Insurance Plan. To remove the charge from your student account, this waiver request form must be completed and approved by the September 20, 2019 deadline. Students who are not approved by the deadline will remain enrolled in, and billed for, the Student Health Insurance Plan.

A new waiver verification process is being introduced for the 2019-2020 policy year. The information entered on this waiver request form will be audited and confirmed with the insurance carrier listed on this form. You are required to complete this form at the beginning of each academic year. If you have any questions on the waiver process, please contact Gallagher Student at 800-391-9751 or by clicking here.

If you have specific questions or concerns, please contact our office directly.
